Sue Kerver is a passionate advocate for service and empowering women. As a Montana fly fishing guide, outdoor enthusiast, and Coast Guard licensed Captain, Sue uses her extensive knowledge and personal experiences to help women feel confident in the outdoor space and beyond.

Sue is the founder of Two Gals and a Boat, a fly fishing education platform focused on conservation, community, and empowering women to explore the outdoors with confidence.

She is also the host of the Two Gals and a Mic podcast, where she interviews extraordinary women, sharing stories that inspire others to find their voices and embrace their unique journeys.

With a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership from The Citadel and a Master of Communications and Journalism from the University of Georgia, Sue has a rich background in communications and public relations and is excited to combine her business expertise with her passion for storytelling to help women connect with their purpose.

Sue’s experiences span over a decade in the U.S. Coast Guard, where she served across the West Coast, East Coast, Gulf Coast, and overseas, responding to large-scale emergencies and natural disasters and several proceeding years working in wildlife conservation for the federal government.

Before her time in the Coast Guard, Sue taught English and Sustainable Development in Ethiopia as a Peace Corps volunteer and taught in both middle and high schools in Texas. She also spent time crewing on a 40’ catamaran.

With her unique blend of military service, outdoor experience, and leadership expertise, Sue is dedicated to helping others uncover their authentic voices and lead lives filled with confidence, connection, and purpose.

When Sue isn’t writing, fly fishing, skiing, hiking, camping or spending time in nature, you’ll find her with her husband, Josh, and her Chocolate Lab, Meatball.
